Red Granite will co-produce the film with Mandalay Pictures.<\/p>\n<p>Its a return to the dark side for\u00a0<i>Daniel Radcliffe<\/i>.\u00a0Fresh off his horror hit \u201cThe Woman in Black,\u201d Radcliffe will once again do his best to avoid typecasting by playing a suspected murderer and rapist in \u201cHorns.\u201d He is replacing Shia LaBeouf who was originally cast as the lead. The film, based on the book by Joe Hill, follows a man accused of raping and murdering his girlfriend, who wakes up one morning to find literal horns growing out of his head. Its a supernatural thriller driven by fantasy, mystery and romance.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHorns\u00a0is a wildly unique thriller that\u2019s ripe for the big screen,\u201d said Red Granite principals\u00a0Riza Aziz\u00a0and\u00a0Joey McFarland. \u201cDaniel\u00a0is an amazing talent who will deliver a gripping performance with\u00a0Alex\u00a0at the helm. We\u2019re happy to be working with Mandalay and\u00a0Joe Hill\u00a0to bring this project to life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Look for the film to hit theaters in the fall of 2013.
