First Look At Daniel Radcliffe in Alexandere Aja’s Horns

You can’t type cast me! Daniel Radcliffe has signed on to star in the supernatural fantasy/thriller Horns, which will be co-produced and financed by Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland’s Los Angeles based film production, finance and international sales company Red Granite Pictures. Red Granite will co-produce the film with Mandalay Pictures.

Its a return to the dark side for Daniel Radcliffe. Fresh off his horror hit “The Woman in Black,” Radcliffe will once again do his best to avoid typecasting by playing a suspected murderer and rapist in “Horns.” He is replacing Shia LaBeouf who was originally cast as the lead. The film, based on the book by Joe Hill, follows a man accused of raping and murdering his girlfriend, who wakes up one morning to find literal horns growing out of his head. Its a supernatural thriller driven by fantasy, mystery and romance.

“Horns is a wildly unique thriller that’s ripe for the big screen,” said Red Granite principals Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland. “Daniel is an amazing talent who will deliver a gripping performance with Alex at the helm. We’re happy to be working with Mandalay and Joe Hill to bring this project to life.”

Look for the film to hit theaters in the fall of 2013. Or perhaps the film will open in February as The Woman in Black did.
